Roketsan unveiled the BURÇ air defence system with 20mm cannon and SUNGUR missiles
Recently we wrote that Aselsan is preparing to develop GÜRZ air defence system. A similar solution was presented by Roketsan. It is called BURÇ.
Here's What We Know
BURÇ is an anti-aircraft missile and cannon system designed to provide defence against enemy helicopters, aircraft and drones both in the rear and on the battlefield.

For this purpose, it is equipped with a 20mm three-barrel cannon and launchers for SUNGUR missiles. It has a maximum target interception range of 8,000 metres and an altitude of 4,000 metres. BURÇ can detect air threats within a radius of 20 kilometres.
The complex is based on a manoeuvrable chassis with 8x8 wheel arrangement. The BURÇ has an active phased array radar and a fire control system for automatic targeting.
The anti-aircraft missile and cannon system from Turkish company Roketsan is already ready for serial production. The cost of the BURÇ is not specified.
