US announces new $600m military aid package for Ukraine: it includes HIMARS ammunition, artillery shells and air defence equipment

The US, a day after announcing a $175m military aid package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, announced the transfer of another one worth $600m.

Here's What We Know

According to the Pentagon, the new package included:

Equipment to maintain and integrate Ukraine's air defence systems;
Additional ammunition for HIMARS;
105mm artillery shells;
Means of electronic warfare and countering electronic warfare;
Obstacle Breaching Ammunition;
Mine Clearance Equipment;
Training, maintenance and sustainment equipment.

Deliveries of the armaments are due to begin shortly.
