Microsoft is compromising and Baldur's Gate III will still be released on Xbox Series consoles before the end of 2023. But there's a nuance
The head of Larian studio Swen Vincke announced some great news for Xbox Series console owners.
Here's What We Know
Users of American devices were undoubtedly saddened by the news that the most highly praised and discussed game of 2023 Baldur's Gate III will not be released on Xbox Series until 2024.
Such a long delay is due to the fact that the weak Xbox Series S console can not correctly run the game in split-screen mode, and according to Microsoft rules games for both versions of consoles must have the same functionality.
Still, the American corporation had to make concessions.
Sven Vincke said that Baldur's Gate III will still be released on Xbox Series in 2023, but the Series S version of the game will not have split-screen mode. Other options it will get.
Super happy to confirm that after meeting @XboxP3 yesterday, we've found a solution that allows us to bring Baldur's Gate 3 to Xbox players this year still, something we've been working towards for quite some time.
