Insider: Square Enix plans to release PS5-exclusive Final Fantasy XVI on Xbox Series
It is known that the Japanese publisher Square Enix not only changes the strategy of releasing new games, but also plans to expand cooperation with Microsoft.
Already in the spring of 2024 on Xbox consoles is planned to release the popular online game Final Fantasy XIV. In addition, reputable insiders say that on American devices will be released another game in this series - a remake of Final Fantasy VII.
But, perhaps, this is not all surprises for Xbox users.
Here's What We Know
During one of the podcasts authoritative insider Shpeshal Nick, who has repeatedly reported reliable information, revealed that Square Enix plans to release on Xbox Series action game Final Fantasy XVI, which is currently a PlayStation 5 exclusive and was developed with the active financial and marketing support of Sony - the main competitor of Microsoft.

Since Final Fantasy XVI isn't even available on PC yet, it's unlikely to arrive on Xbox in the coming months.
To recap, Final Fantasy XVI was released in June 2023, received high praise from critics and the public, and was one of the best games of the past year. Unfortunately, as reported by the media, sales of the game were below Square Enix's expectations, but the game's entry on other platforms may rectify this situation.
