Insider: Qualcomm Powers 4nm Snapdragon Wear 5100+ Chip for Wear OS Smartwatches
According to German insider Roland Quandt, Qualcomm is developing a new processor for smart watches with Wear OS on board.
What is known
We are talking about the Snapdragon Wear 5100 chip, which should enter the market in two versions: regular and Plus. There is no information about the base model yet, but Snapdragon Wear 5100+ is known to will built on a 4-nanometer process technology. The chip is credited with nuclei 1.7GHz ARM Cortex-A53 and Adreno 702 graphics accelerator. The SoC will support up to 4GB LPDDR4X RAM as well as eMMC 5.1 onboard memory.

New more attributed Bluetooth 5.2, LTE, and an ISP module with support for two cameras with a resolution of up to 16 MP. By the way, the new SoC will be able to work not only on smart watches with Wear OS, but also on full-fledged Android devices.
Snapdragon Wear 5100+ should be presented in the near future.
