Russia in the war against Ukraine used 210 types of prohibited weapons

According to The New York Times, the Russian army in the war against Ukraine has already used more than two hundred types of weapons prohibited by international conventions.

First of all, we are talking about cluster munitions, as well as their submunitions. At the same time, the Russian Federation does not have any restrictions on the use of such weapons. Moreover, since February 24, its use has been the main military strategy.

In total, experts counted more than four hundred launches of unguided munitions, the use of which is prohibited or restricted by international law. No less dangerous are OF-56 high-explosive fragmentation shells and shells for Smerch multiple launch rocket systems. Russian troops also resort to using banned POM-3 mines and camouflaging grenades on civilian targets before retreating.
