Attack of dummies: russia unveiled an orbital station, a landing craft, a combined drone with a speed of up to 140 km/h, and the Ka-65 helicopter
The Army-2022 forum has started in Russia and several new products have been presented. But here is a problem. Almost everything shown so far is either a prototype or a mock-up.
What we know
You can see the Project 23900 landing craft in the photos below. Approximately $1.7 billion has been allocated to build the two ships in 2020.
Another novelty is the Ka-65 "Minoga" helicopter.
Russia also unveiled a combined vertical takeoff/landing and horizontal flight drone. It is designed for reconnaissance, aerial photography and cargo delivery. The drone will have a maximum speed of 140 km/h and a payload weight of 4-25 kg, depending on the modification.
The next novelty is the orbital station. Also presented as a plastic mockup. Construction won't begin until 2028, but that's not certain.
It should be noted that the Russians showed not only mockups at the exhibition. And several prototypes. For example, an unmanned URAL, which had its cabin cut off.
