Poland wants to buy legendary American helicopters McDonnel Douglas AH-64E Pache

Poland plans to buy McDonnel Douglas AH-64E Pache helicopters. This was announced by Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.

The Polish Defense Ministry has already sent a request for the purchase of McDonnel Douglas AH-64E Pache. Poland wants 96 attack helicopters in the newest Guardian modification. The cost of the possible contract is not specified yet.

The McDonnel Douglas AH-64E Pache has been the U.S. Army's primary attack helicopter since the 1980s. It is now considered the most popular attack helicopter in the world. The Guardian modification is equipped with T700-GE-701D engines and ultramodern flight control system.

The aircraft has a range of nearly 2,000 km and can reach speeds of up to 300 km/h. Upgrades also include fire control radar and an increased payload capacity of up to 9 tons.
