Ukrainian aviation conducted about 10 strikes on enemy positions with American AGM-88 HARM missiles
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues to use American AGM-88 HARM missiles to combat enemy air defense systems.
Here's What We Know
The Air Force Command press office described the targets eliminated during Sept. 21, 2022. During a 24-hour period, air defense forces were able to destroy a rare Iskander-K cruise missile and four operational-level unmanned aerial vehicles.
In addition, military aviation carried out 15 group airstrikes on Russian army positions. According to the command, the American AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missiles hit about ten enemy air defense positions.
Flashback
The Armed Forces of Ukraine began to receive AGM-88 HARM missiles in summer. The United States supplies missiles by the hundreds. Despite the fact that Soviet aircraft can't work with Western weapons, experts from Ukraine and the United States have integrated AGM-88 HARMs on Su-27 and MiG-29 fighters. The Pentagon confirms that an American defense company helped the Soviet aircraft and Western missiles to "make friends". But officials remain silent about which company. It is assumed that it is Raytheon.
