A long journey that was nobody tried to stretch: it will take 15-18 hours to pass A Plague Tale: Requiem
Thanks to the 19th release of PLAY Magazine, it became known that the story campaign of A Plague Tale: Requiem gamers will need 15-18 hours. It is worth considering that this is the time for which the developers coped, so you should not avoid an error in the passage of 2-4 hours.
Here's What We Know
This was told by the lead level designer of Asobo Studio Kevin Pinson. If you turn to the portal howlnogtobeat, then on average players passed the first part of the game A Plague Tale: Innocence for 10-12 hours. But in the sequel, the developers did not try to stretch the game on purpose, that's what Kevin says:
"It’s about pacing, there’s no filler, there’s no trying to make it longer because we needed to,” Pinson assures Play Magazine. “Our publisher Focus Interactive encourages us to do the length that we want to do for the game for the story we want to tell. So we’re not aiming for a specific amount of hours. This is not something that we take into account when we first design the game. We are a small team of 70 people so we have to be really drastic about our choices"
In fact, for a story game not in the open world, this is a lot. Usually such games are designed for 8-10 hours, but here we should expect a long and atmospheric journey.
Flashback
Asobo Studio is already on the home stretch in the development of a direct sequel to A Plague Tale with the name Requiem. In the world of the game, six months have passed since the events of Innocence. Amicia and Hugo head south in search of a new and peaceful life. But adventures caught up with the sister and brother again. Hugo's illness has worsened and Amicia must go with him to a secret island that may hold the key to curing her younger brother. The world is becoming more cruel, distorted, and rats are only increasing. Along with this, weapons, tools, magic and variations of enemy destruction have increased.
