Stephen King trades with Elon Musk for a "blue tick" on Twitter - already knocked the price of a Twitter Blue subscription from $20 to $8 a month
American writer Stephen King did not like the idea of Elon Musk to verify only the Twitter accounts whose owners have paid a subscription to Twitter Blue.
Here's What We Know
A day before the publication The Verge reported that the "blue tick" on Twitter will now Twitter verification will become a paid service and will be available only by subscription for $20 a month. Moreover, its cost will grow from $5 to $20 per month.
Stephen King didn't like this innovation. He suggested that Twitter should pay him, not vice versa. The King of Horrors also added that in case of such "innovation" he will go bankrupt.
I will explain the rationale in longer form before this is implemented. It is the only way to defeat the bots & trolls.

Later, Elon Musk appeared in the comments under the publication of the American writer. The new owner of the social network wrote that Twitter has to pay the bills and can't rely entirely on advertisers. The billionaire also offered $8 for a subscription instead of $20.
In addition, Elon Musk promises to make a detailed argument for the need for Twitter Blue to increase the cost. So far, the head of Twitter has limited himself to stating that this is the only way to fight against trolls and bots.
