Renowned historian Timothy Snyder is a United24 Ambassador and will be raising money for "Shakhed Trapper"
American historian and author and Yale University professor Timothy Snyder has become the new Ambassador for the fundraising platform United24.
Here's What We Know
Snyder will be responsible for the "Defense and Demining" area. By the way, so will actor Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in the legendary "Star Wars."
"I support Ukraine because it must win this war. A Ukrainian victory would open the region and the world to democracy and give us all hope. But right now Ukraine is under threat. A large part of Ukraine is under occupation. The aggressor, in violation of all the laws of war, seeks to kill the civilian population or deprive it of its basic means of subsistence - food, water and electricity. To protect Ukrainians, to protect Ukraine and thereby protect values, we must stop these attacks," Timothy Snyder stressed.
The historian will raise funds for a system to counter enemy UAVs. And his goal is an impressive $1,250,000.
"I'm a historian and scholar, and in the long run I want to raise money to rebuild libraries, schools and universities. But right now we have to do what is more pressing, which is to raise funds to help Ukraine defend itself against killer drones. That's why I set out to raise $1,250,000 in defense against these drones."
