Apple recently unveiled a new generation Apple TV 4K - TV set-top box with A15 Bionic chip, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support from $129. As it turns out, this is not the same SoC as the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14.
Here's What We Know
FlatpanelsHD found out that Apple's new set-top box comes with a stripped-down version of the A15 Bionic processor. It has one core disabled. That is, instead of six cores, the SoC comes with five cores.
Despite the cut down chip, the new console is still 40% faster than the last generation device with the A12 Bionic processor. In addition, the review also says that the new Apple TV 4K version is more powerful than the Xbox One. Although the device still falls short of the PS5's performance.
