Ukraine receives first HAWK medium-range surface-to-air missile systems
Spain has handed over the first MIM-23 HAWK (Homing All the Way Killer) SAMs to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov after a meeting with the head of the Spanish Defense Ministry Margarita Robles wrote about the arrival of the first medium-range air defense systems to Ukraine. A total of six SAMs have been promised.

The MIM-23 HAWK surface-to-air missile system is designed to destroy enemy air targets at ranges up to 40 km and heights up to 18 km. Compared to the original HAWK produced more than 60 years ago, these figures have increased by 60% and 30% respectively.
