Elon Musk broke Twitter - in many countries two-factor authorization stopped working and users lost access to their accounts
Twitter has blocked the traffic of about three dozen mobile operators around the world in an effort to combat bots, but it has restricted access to hundreds of thousands of accounts.
Here's What We Know
A few days ago, Elon Musk warned the bots that they were in for a surprise. After that, the company blocked the traffic of about 30 cellular carriers, which Twitter believed were being used by large spam networks. Expectedly, however, not everything went smoothly. Blocking traffic from the operators resulted in the fact that users stopped receiving SMS messages from Twitter when trying to log into an account using two-factor authorization.
Residents of the Asia-Pacific region were primarily affected. But problems were observed in other countries, including Ukraine. Of course, the users began to complain, after which Twitter unblocked the traffic, and the operators were told that the failure had occurred.
