iOS 18.5 Beta 3 is now available for developers: what's new in the update

Apple has released the third beta version of iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 for developers to test. The update appeared a week after the release of the second beta version.
Here's What We Know
You can download iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 through the Settings app on compatible devices by going to the General, Software Update section.
These updates are relatively minor at this time, as they include only a few new design changes. One of the main changes is the expanded revert options for the Mail app, including the ability to delete contact photos. It's also easier to find information about AppleCare.
As usual, the update is likely to include internal bug fixes and performance improvements.
This is one of the last interim updates before the transition to the next generation - iOS 19 and iPadOS 19, which the company plans to present in June at the WWDC 2025 (Worldwide Developers Conference).
As a reminder, iPhone owners will not be able to downgrade to iOS 18.3.2 after the release of iOS 18.4. Apple usually stops signing older versions of iOS after an update is released. This process prevents outdated versions of the system from being installed on iPhones. Signing refers to a check that is performed on the server when iOS is downloaded to the device. The iOS 18.4 update fixes more than 60 vulnerabilities, so if users haven't updated their device yet, they should do so as soon as possible.
