Reuters news agency quoted its own sources as saying that China is ready to invest $143 billion (¥1 trillion) in the development of domestic chip production. The largest program in recent years, if approved, will begin work in the first months of 2023.
Chinese companies will be able to recover up to 20 percent of the costs for the purchase of equipment for microchip production. The lion's share of $143 billion will be spent on subsidies. Research centers will also be able to count on state support.
