The other day at RR Auction an interesting item was sold - a working Apple-1 computer, hand-numbered by Steve Jobs.

Details

In 1976, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak produced only 200 Apple-1 computers. It is believed that today there are 60-70 of them left. The computer sold at auction is number 78.

It is in working condition, as it was restored in 2018 by Apple expert Corey Cohen. The buyer also received a document authenticating Steve Jobs' signature and the original owner's manual as part of the package.

Initially, Apple-1 was to be sold for $375,000, but as a result it fetched $442,118.

Incidentally, the auction site RR Auction also sold a NeXT brochure signed by Steve Jobs for $18,210, an early 1988 NeXT computer for $6,094 and an Auburn University soccer signed by Tim Cook for $5,681.
