Due to falling demand and COVID-19 Tesla suspended the largest electric car assembly plant ahead of schedule
Tesla sent its electric car assembly plant in Shanghai on winter break a few days early.
Here's What We Know
The Shanghai plant is the largest site in the world where Tesla vehicles are produced. In 2021 at this time, it was working, but now the company of Ilon Musk (Elon Musk) is forced to pause the assembly of cars.
There are two explanations for this. First, the incidence of COVID-19 began to rise sharply in China, and workers at the plant in Shanghai are also getting sick. Secondly, the market has not kept up with the production volumes of electric cars.
Stopping the assembly line will cause the production volume of the Tesla Model Y to drop by about a third. The American company has not yet commented on the decision to suspend automobile assembly.
