Redmi Note 12 Pro gets an improved version with Snapdragon 778G, 108MP camera and MIUI 14 starting at $240
Xiaomi is not limited to the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro and Redmi K60E. The company announced a special version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro.
Here's What We Know
Previously, the smartphone was listed as Speed Edition. Now auto-translation says that the model is called Redmi Note 12 Pro Extreme Edition. Anyway, it will appear on the global market as POCO X5 Pro, but we will have to wait.
The smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G processor instead of the Dimensity 1080 used in the regular Redmi Note 12 Pro. Another change concerns the main camera. It got a 108 MP main module instead of 50 MP.
The Extreme Edition version also has a 6.67" FHD+ OLED display, stereo sound, a 5000 mAh battery and 67W fast charging. However, the novelty will be sold right out of the box with MIUI 14 firmware.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The original Redmi Note 12 Pro has yet to hit the global market. In China, it costs between $235 and $305 depending on the modification. The international version will appear in 2023. The Indian premiere will be as early as next week.
Redmi Note 12 Pro Extreme Edition will cost at least $240. The top-of-the-line version costs $315, but will be available at a $25 discount for the holidays. The 6/128GB, 8/256GB and 12/256GB versions will be available. The mid-range version is priced at $290.
