Apple will raise the cost of MacBook and iPad battery replacement by $20-50

We recently wrote that replacing the battery in the iPhone would cost $20 more starting in early spring. The new pricing policy does not apply to the iPhone 14. Battery replacement in other Apple devices will also go up in price.

Here's What We Know

Again, we're talking about battery replacements in gadgets that don't have AppleCare or AppleCare+ warranties. Owners of most iPad tablets will have to pay $119, the iPad Pro 11 will pay $149, and the iPad Pro 12.9 will pay $179.

MacBook Air battery replacement costs will increase by $30 to $159. MacBook Pro owners will have to pay $249, an increase of $50 over the current price.

Service charges will increase on March 1, 2023. The cost of battery replacement in the Apple Watch will not increase. At least right now, there is no information about the price increase.
