When Ukraine will get its first batch of German Leopard 1 tanks
We have written more than once that the partners will transfer Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine. Now it is known when the Ukrainian armed forces will receive the first batch.
When We Can Expect It
So, the first batch of 25 combat vehicles will be delivered to Ukraine before the summer. The AFU will receive about 80 tanks by the end of 2023 and more than 100 in 2024. German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said this during his visit to Ukraine. A total of 185 Leopard 1 tanks will be delivered to the Ukrainian armed forces, about Netherlands, together with Germany and Denmark, will give Ukraine 100 Leopard 1A5 tanks.
By the way, apart from the Leopard 1, Germany also intends to send 14 Leopard 2A6 tanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They will arrive in Ukraine by the end of March.
