Microsoft Activision deal likely to be approved by EU regulators, Reuters reports
Microsoft is likely to receive approval for the acquisition of Activiosn by Blizzard, according to Reuters. The corporation has recently entered into several deals with Nintendo and Nvidia, which is likely to satisfy European Union regulators.
It is also reported that the European Commission is unlikely to require Microsoft to sell any Activ. Bliz. assets as a condition for regulatory approval. Such a decision would contrast with the opinion of the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), which suggested several possible remedies, including the sale by Microsoft of part of the Activision Blizzard studio responsible for the development of the Call of Duty series.
In any case, the regulatory authorities are preparing to announce the final decision on 25 April, so we wish Microsoft good luck.
