Flashback
Storm Shadow is a French-British air-to-ground cruise missile. It is designed to destroy important targets that are well protected by air defenses. Storm Shadow can be used at any time of day and in adverse weather conditions. Development of the missile began in 1995, and the first successful test was held in December 2000. The missile was put into service in 2003 by the British Air Force. It is capable of engaging targets at a range of 600 km or 250 km (export version). The AFU most likely received the Storm Shadow export version.
