MIM-23 Hawk, Patriot missiles and RQ-20 Puma UAVs: US allocates new aid package for Ukraine worth $2 100 000 000

The United States has announced another military aid package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Here's What We Know
The new package is for $2 100 000 000 and includes:
- Additional ammunition for Patriot air defence systems (according to media reports, it is Ukraine's Armed Forces may receive the most advanced version of the $4m PAC-3 MSE anti-missile system, which intercepts ballistic missiles at altitudes of up to 60km);
- MIM-23 Hawk SAMs and their missiles;
- 105mm and 203mm artillery shells;
- Puma unmanned aerial systems;
- Ammunition for laser guided missile systems;
- Support for training and maintenance activities.
The assistance package is allocated under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) programme. That is, weapons will not be taken from US Army stocks, but from manufacturers. Delivery times may take months.
