Fans will have to wait: work on Psychonauts hasn't even begun

For players who are looking forward to the continuation of the Psychonauts series, there is bad news - the founder of Double Fine Productions, Tim Shafer, said that work on this project is not currently underway.

In an interview with the YouTube channel Cressup, Shafer said that Double Fine is currently in a state of "closed doors" and is not ready to share details of its current work. He also confirmed that he is not currently developing Psychonauts 3:

"I'm not working on Psychonauts 3. We're kind of at the 'Willy Wonka, closed doors' stage." But soon we can open up and do a lot of damage to a lot of kids, just like Willy Wonka."."

Some time ago, Microsoft's official Twitter account posted a mysterious image showing crosses and zeros with the word "psycho" written behind them. Many players assumed that this was a hint of Psychonauts 3, but the game was not announced during the Xbox Games Showcase...
