Gamers' dream may come true: insider says Activision is working on a new Prototype instalment

The Prototype dilogy is one of those rare cases when the games were not appreciated by the general public at the time of release, but over time gained cult status. Gamers have been dreaming of a new instalment of this series for many years, although Activision, the company that owns the rights to the brand, has shown no desire to develop it.
However, this could all change soon.
Here's What We Know
A Reddit user under the nickname Bigbyy reported that he became a member of a study group of testers at Activision and it became known to him that the American developers are engaged in a new part of Prototype.
"Insider" reported that the new game will be a prequel or a reboot, as its main character will be Alex Mercer - the protagonist of the first part and the antagonist in the sequel. The events of the game will take place in New York City, and the player, as in the previous Prototype parts, will be able to take the form of different people and use military vehicles.
Bigbyy did not reveal any more details, moreover, he later deleted his post. Of course, the authenticity of his information is questionable, but if it's true - more reputable insiders will share their data soon.
