Final Fantasy 16 players complain about consoles overheating during gaming sessions
Final Fantasy has been an unexpected success for Square Enix - the game has received high marks from both critics and ordinary players, and the developers recently announced that it has sold three million copies. Nevertheless, some players have started to experience some problems with the game.
Here's What We Know
According to the Push Squre portal, some PlayStation 5 owners experience console overheating while playing Final Fantasy 16, which results in malfunctions. Twitter users reported that the errors mainly occur in a certain scene in a higher resolution mode:
Same scene, still waiting for a statement from Square regarding the overheating issues. I bought a new PS5 but I still haven't had the courage to test the game on the new device. I think I'm traumatised. https://t.co/mptWEDQhan

Many of these reports indicate that the consoles that are failing are in well-ventilated areas and are barely contaminated with dust, suggesting that the problem may be related to the game rather than the hardware.
Square Enix has not yet acknowledged the problem or provided any solution.
