Clockwork Revolution's producer compares the project to Arcanum and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
inXile Entertainment, which is known for the action-RPG Wasteland 3, has decided to take a different direction with its next game, Clockwork Revolution. This is a first-person steampunk action-RPG with the ability to change time, where players travel through the city of Avalon and return to the past to change the course of events and rewrite the overall story.
Here's What We Know
The project's director Chad Moore stated on his Twitter account that the game will offer "deep world-building, compelling narrative, cool RPG systems, immersive gameplay, and massive reactivity". He also constantly compares it to his favourite projects - Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines:
With deep world-building, compelling narrative, crunchy RPG systems, engaging gameplay, and massive reactivity, I've always described @ClockworkGame as the love child of #arcanum and @VBloodlines. pic.twitter.com/qp51n2a24L

Moore has worked on both of these projects, which are renowned for their engaging storylines and player influence on events that affect the role-playing experience. They also give you a lot of freedom to create your character and manage the game however you want. The combination of these elements in a game like Clockwork Revolution carries high expectations. We'll just have to wait to see if they're met.
When We Can Expect It
Clockwork Revolution will be released for Xbox Series and PC. We don't have a specific release date at this time.
