Bulgaria may transfer 100 armoured personnel carriers to Ukraine
The Bulgarian government may transfer a new package of military aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Here's What We Know
This was told by the Deputy from the coalition "Continuing changes" - "Democratic Bulgaria" Ivaylo Mirchev. We are talking about 100 armoured personnel carriers, which are in the warehouses of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The vehicles have never been used for their intended purpose. In addition, some of them are in poor condition and need repairs. If the deliveries are realised, Bulgaria may receive American M1117 APCs instead of the old APCs.
By the way, which armoured personnel carriers are planned to be transferred to Ukraine Mirchev did not say. Most likely, we are talking about the BTR-60. This is a Soviet combat vehicle with 8×8 wheel arrangement. It was developed in 1956-1959.
