Bloomberg: Apple will unveil new Macs this month
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that Apple is going to wow us with the release of new devices this month after all.
Here's What We Know
First of all, we are talking about the updated 24-inch iMac, the release of which is already delayed. The current model was released in April 2021 and is currently the only representative of the current generation Mac equipped with the M1 chip. Previously, Mark Gurman has repeatedly said that the new iMac will jump straight to the M3 processor, but he was silent on that this time around.
We might also be seeing new MacBook Pro laptops this month. Although the current 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips were released in January, an additional update this year seems unusual but still likely.
Most likely, the new Macs won't get any drastic changes, but will simply swap out the old processors for the new ones.
An official release is expected on 30 or 31 October.
Beyond that, Gurman says the next-generation MacBook Air models with M3 chips won't come out until early 2024 at the earliest, and the big 32-inch iMac will come out in late 2024 or 2025.
