Due to bugs in iOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10 and tvOS 17: Apple has delayed development of iOS 18 and other new operating systems
Apple has suspended development of iOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11 and tvOS 18.
Here's What We Know
This was revealed by insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. According to the source, engineers from Cupertino were told to stop working on future versions of the OS for a while and focus on eliminating flaws and improving the performance of the current software.
As it turned out, the development team led by Craig Federigh found too many bugs that were not taken into account in internal testing of operating systems. The pause will last a few days. Apple is expected to resume new OS development by the end of this week.
Incidentally, Apple today, 8 November, released iOS 17.1.1, watchOS 10.1.1, macOS 14.1.1, HomePod 17.1.1, and a new software version for Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro.
