Xiaomi is testing a mysterious smartphone with a periscopic telephoto lens with 75mm optics and a 3.2x zoom lens

Xiaomi is preparing to unveil a new smartphone that will get a periscope camera. And it's not the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

Here's What We Know

A month and a half ago, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro were announced. A few months later, the company will introduce the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. However, another model with a good camera will appear in the manufacturer's range. This is reported by Chinese insider Digital Chat Station.

The telephoto lens will be equipped with 75mm optics with 3.2x zoom with no loss of quality. The Digital Chat Station insider does not specify what the model will be called, stating only that we are not talking about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which will appear in spring 2024.

The main contender to get such a camera is the Xiaomi MIX 5. The next-generation smartphone will be announced next year and will be the successor to the Xiaomi MIX 4 model, which debuted more than two years ago.
