The trailer for the long-awaited return of Netflix's animated series Masters of the Universe: Revolution has been released.

Here's What We Know

The new trailer reveals us the series' release date and reflects the growing conflict in Eternia. Amidst this turmoil, iconic characters He-Man and Teela are ready to defend their homeland. We're hinted at epic battles and intricate storylines.

Series Overview

The synopsis of the new development of the He-Man mythology is as follows:

"It’s technology versus magic when He-Man and the heroic warriors face the forces of Skeletor and something more in Masters of the Universe: Revolution – the new epic chapter in the battle for Castle Grayskull! The newly mechanized Skeletor, armed with the might of Motherboard, attacks the heart of Eternia while Prince Adam grapples with a new responsibility and what that means for him as He-Man! Adam is forced to choose between the scepter or the sword, and a life as either the King or the Champion! Meanwhile, the new Sorceress Teela searches for the secret of Snake Magic in the mists of Darksmoke to rebuild a magic realm and help He-Man hold off the greatest threat Eternia has ever faced: the return of the despot Hordak, the ruthless leader of the Horde Empire!".

As for the cast, Revolution brings both new and familiar voices. Harley Quinn Smith, daughter of Kevin Smith, joins the cast as Illen. Meg Foster voices Motherboard, Keith David brings life to Hordak and the legendary William Shatner takes on a mysterious role. Mark Hamill (Mark Hamil) returns as the voice of Skeletor. However, Teela's role changes, with Melissa Benoist of Supergirl fame replacing Sarah Michelle Gellar.

When We Can Expect It

"Masters of the Universe: Revolution" will be available on Netflix as early as 25 January.
