Nothing noteworthy: critics met Outcast - A New Beginning's action-adventure game with restraint
Outcast - A New Beginning from THQ Nordic and Appeal Studios has been released.
Fans of the original game about the adventures of Cutter Slade on the picturesque planet Adelpha have been waiting 25 years for the sequel, but it seems that such a long wait was in vain.

Critics have reviewed Outcast - A New Beginning and, unfortunately, are not ready to recommend this game. The action received average marks and is a classic AA-game without critical flaws. but also not having pronounced merits.
Reviewers stated that Outcast 2 has banal and uninventive gameplay, not interesting plot and not charismatic characters, who also like to clumsily joke.
The only element of the game that is praised is Adelpha's world. It's colourful, diverse, interesting and intriguing, and is a pleasure to look at and explore.
As a result, Outcast - A New Beginning received the following scores:
- Metacritic: 66 points on PS5 and 69 on PC (the Xbox version doesn't have enough scores);
- Opencritic: 70 points, but only 37% of reviewers recommend the game.
It's worth noting that the game has no outright negative reviews, most are moderately positive.
