The first gameplay trailer of the unusual co-operative horror shooter The Forever Winter from the creators of Doom and Mass Effect has been presented
In February, the American studio Fun Dog, founded by former employees of BioWare, id Software and Guerrilla Game, presented its debut project, which was an ambitious co-operative shooter with elements of horror The Forever Winter.
Finally, the developers published the first gameplay video of the game.
Here's What We Know
The shown footage shows the gameplay of the pre-alpha version of The Forever Winter, so the game looks a bit raw and it would be incorrect to draw conclusions based on this video. However, the video clearly demonstrates that players are expected to have tense firefights with biomechanical creatures and huge robots controlled by AI, and all this against the backdrop of environmental disasters that are sweeping the Earth.
The video glimpses a weapon selection and modification system. It looks like this element will play an important role in The Forever Winter. In general, the style of the game looks unusual and quite bold. During the announcement the developers promised to present an innovative game of the highest quality and, by the looks of it, they are seriously aiming to keep their promise.
When We Can Expect It
The Forever Winter release date is still unknown.
At the moment it is stated that the game will be released only on Steam, but in case of success the shooter may be released on other platforms as well.
