"Riddick" fans beware! Filming begins on the long-awaited sequel to the franchise starring Vin Diesel

The fourth film in the sci-fi franchise titled "Riddick: Furya" is gearing up for production this year, with filming scheduled to begin on 26 August. Filming will take place in Germany, Spain and the UK.

Here's What We Know

Vin Diesel will reprise his role as Richard B. Riddick, the last member of the mysterious Furya race and a notorious criminal. David Twohy, director of the first films in the series, will once again take the helm of the production.

Riddick has remained one of Vin Diesel's most popular characters since his debut over two decades ago in Pitch Black. Since then, the franchise has been developed into subsequent films, video games, and anime.

In addition to his role as the title character, Diesel will also serve as a producer on the project alongside Samantha Vincent for One Race Films.
