A video showing off the iPhone 16 case has surfaced on the internet, showing the changes that will be made to the smartphone's design

Less than three months before the announcement of the iPhone 16 series, case makers are already preparing for the new product, based on CAD files and assumptions about the size of the devices. One such case has already been demonstrated in the video.

Here's What We Know

A well-known insider @UniverseIce posted a video on his X with a demonstration of one of the cases for the iPhone 16, which are already beginning to appear long before the presentation of smartphones. The iPhone 16 is expected to offer a slightly redesigned design and an improved Apple A18 processor, which will support Apple Intelligence. The device will also get 8GB of RAM, which is necessary for the artificial intelligence to function.

One of the new features is a capture button to the right of the power key, which is rumoured to function as a camera shutter and other actions. Despite Apple's plans to create an iPhone without physical buttons, technological advances have not yet allowed this to happen and in the iPhone 16 the buttons will still remain physical.

According to rumours, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus won't get new camera sensors and periscopic zoom lenses like the Pro models, but the rear camera design will change. The camera island will resemble the iPhone 12's design with a vertical sensor arrangement, driven by the requirement to record spatial video for viewing through the Apple Vision Pro AR/VR headset.

The iPhone 16 lineup is expected to be unveiled in September.
