Apple launches Tap to Pay on iPhone for users in Germany

Apple is continuing to expand its Tap to Pay feature on iPhones around the world. After a successful launch in Italy last month, the feature is now available for users in Germany.

Tap to Pay on iPhone

Users with an iPhone Xs or later iOS version can simply hold their device or a compatible NFC card near a terminal to make a payment. The feature uses NFC technology to securely process transactions, making it convenient for both users and merchants.

Support for payment platforms in Germany

Adyen, Commerz Globalpay, myPOS, Nexi, SumUp and Viva already support Tap to Pay to enable fast and secure payments via iPhone.

Following a successful debut in the US in 2022, Tap to Pay has expanded internationally to include the UK, France, Taiwan, Australia, the Netherlands, Brazil, Ukraine, Japan, Canada and Italy.
