Lithuanian Armed Forces start training future FPV drone instructors
The Lithuanian Armed Forces have launched a specialised course aimed at training future instructors to operate FPV drones.
Here's What We Know
This step shows that the Lithuanian military is adopting the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The training course for instructors of such UAVs was developed based on the experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which effectively used them in battles against Russian troops
The first group consists of approximately ten servicemen from different branches of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. After completing the two-week course, these soldiers will train new FPV drone operators, but in their own units.
The comprehensive course includes both theoretical and technical aspects, with a strong emphasis on practical training conducted at a military training ground. The Lithuanian General Staff envisages having FPV drone operators in every military unit.
It should be noted that the use of FPV drones on the battlefield in Ukraine has proven that combat units have a better chance of winning with such drones. UAVs improve awareness in a particular situation and at a particular moment. They can easily track the enemy's movements in real time or launch attacks on the enemy and its equipment. In addition, the video recorded by FPV drones is an effective tool for information warfare and psychological operations.
