Meta is developing AR glasses with hologram and AI, - Zuckerberg
In a recent interview, Mark Zuckerberg shared Meta's plans for holographic augmented reality glasses.
Here's What We Know
The ultimate goal is a device that could potentially replace a smartphone with a spatial interface, keeping the wearer's head up and hands free, and providing access to all the necessary information.
Zuckerberg expects three main models of smart glasses to become standards for everyday use. The first available is Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses with audio, camera, and integrated AR capabilities.
The gadget can include the addition of a small HUD display for notifications and interaction with artificial intelligence through the displays, allowing users to continue reading longer answers at their own pace.
Particularly interesting is the possibility of AR glasses with a full holographic image, allowing users to communicate with friends anywhere in the world as if they were in the same room. During a 40-minute interview with YouTuber Kallaway, Zuckerberg demonstrated communication with friends, each of whom was using Meta AR glasses.
These glasses promise endless possibilities: from virtual card games to collaborative art creation, all in lightweight frames designed for long-term wear that keeps you connected to reality.
Future versions could include eye and hand tracking, which could be supported by a neural wristband for gesture control.
