Another loss for Bungie: Destiny 2 Expansion Development Manager has left the studio
At the end of 2023, it became known about the cutbacks at Bungie Studios, as a result of which the company had to part with many valuable employees.
But, as it turns out, this is not the last major loss of Bungie.
Here's What We Know
Catarina Macedo, the head of Destiny 2 expansion development, announced her departure from Bungie.
Some bittersweet news!

After an incredible time at Bungie and with The Final Shape out, it's time for me to take some time off, before I embark on a new adventure - more on that later, but I am excited for a new opportunity to build something from the ground up. pic.twitter.com/cd1ftIN59d
She held the position for two years and under her leadership, the studio released The Final Shape, an add-on that impressed even the most sophisticated critics.
Catarina Macedo didn't give a reason for leaving the company, but expressed hope that she will be able to "build something from scratch" - perhaps joining a new studio, or perhaps starting her own company.
Macedo's departure is also interesting because Bungie has a new expansion for Destiny 2 planned for release in 2025 under the working title Frontiers, and three "episodes" are to be released before it - it's unknown how Katarina's absence will affect the company.
Bungie has not yet announced who will replace Catarina Macedo.
