Google has announced that it will stop updating Google Play services for Android Lollipop devices released in 2014.
Here's What We Know
Lollipop accounts for less than 1% of active Android devices. Google wants to focus on supporting newer versions of Android with modern features and better security.
Devices will continue to work, but will not receive new features, security updates, and may not be compatible with some apps. Google recommends that you update your device to a newer version of Android if possible.
How to update Android:
- Go to Settings, System, System update.
- Your device will automatically check for updates.
- If an update is available, download and install it.
