There's enough storage for everyone: Nintendo reveals how much free space Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza and other games will require on Switch 2

This week, Nintendo held an extensive presentation of the new Switch 2 console and unveiled the launch line-up, which included a number of exclusive games from the Japanese company.
Even before the announcement of Nintendo Switch 2, gamers feared that modern games would be too demanding and would quickly fill up the internal storage, which was 8 times larger than the first Switch (256GB instead of 32GB), but still, 256GB is not much by current standards.
But gamers' fears were not confirmed.
Here's What We Know
The website of the Japanese online shop My Nintendo Store has released information that shows, among other things, how much storage space some Switch 2 games will take up, and these figures make it clear that users won't have to free up the device's memory very often:
- Mario Kart World - 23.4GB;
- Donkey Kong Bananza - 10GB;
- Super Mario Party Jamboree: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - 7.7GB;
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - 5.7GB;
- Nintendo Classics: GameCube - 3.5GB.
Nintendo Switch 2 sales will launch on 5 June and pre-orders will open on 8 April, but not in the US.
