X, formerly known as Twitter, is developing a new feature that could help combat spam and misinformation on the platform. This option will allow users to disable links in replies to their posts.

Here's How It Works

• Users will be able to tick an option to prevent other users from replying with links to their posts.
• This can help protect account holders from spambots, which often use links to spread unwanted content.
• However, it can also make it more difficult for real users to promote their websites or post links to legitimate sources of information.
