Polish developers have announced a strategy with survival elements TerraStorm, which should interest FrostPunk fans

Often after the release of a successful game with an unusual concept, many developers try to repeat its main features in their own projects. The most obvious example is Dark Souls, which spawned a huge number of souls-like projects.

Polish studio GameLoad announced TerraStorm economic strategy with elements of survival and settlement building, which is similar to FrostPunk in many ways.

Here's What We Know

Polish developers didn't copy their colleagues from 11 Bit directly, but the similarity with FrostPunk can be seen first of all in the game's backstory and its main mechanics.

According to the plot of TerraStorm, at the end of the Second World War the Nazis discovered a substance called Viribus, with the help of which they wiped out most of humanity and made a huge part of the Earth uninhabitable. But after seventy years, Viribus is used as a limitless source of energy and sustains life in a place called the Capitol in the game.

The main difference between TerraStorm and FrostPunk is that players have to build a community not around a huge heat source, but in a Tower built by the ROSE Corporation, but first have to make a foray into dangerous places and find a place to set it up. Players will also have to make tough decisions, many of which will be far from moral and humane.

The game is in development, and is currently running a campaign on Kickstarter to raise funds for full production.

The developers are asking for the game to be added to the Wish List on Steam to show interest in the game.
