The developers of Titan Quest 2 showed 40 minutes of gameplay and revealed how they see the sequel to the iconic action-RPG
THQ Nordic publishing house is in no hurry to share Titan Quest 2 gameplay clips, but new information about the sequel of the cult isometric action-RPG of 2006 is gradually appearing.
Here's What We Know
During gamescom 2024, journalists and German developers didn't let us down! Published 30 minutes of Titan Quest 2 gameplay - fans of the first part will love it Titan Quest 2 and publish their own clips.
Now the developers from the German studio Grimlore Games have presented a video, in which they themselves went through the demo version and commented on its nuances and main gameplay mechanics.
Senior Game System Designer Balint Marczin and Technical Art Director Florian Jonas took part in the demo. They showed a walkthrough of the initial stage of the game, which unfolds right after the prologue.
The developers said that they want to keep the atmosphere of the first part and make the new game not only as complex and thoughtful, but also add more interesting mechanics and features that will help to further enrich the game experience.
In Titan Quest 2 players, as in the first part, will be able to freely combine the abilities of any two classes and use different weapons. Moreover, swords, axes, spears and other weapons will have three subspecies: light, medium and heavy, and this will significantly affect their use.
The developers mentioned that they do not use procedural generation and create each location manually to ensure the game maximum authenticity and elaboration of the smallest details.
Let us remind you that in Titan Quest 2 players will again visit Ancient Greece, filled with various mythological creatures, and the main antagonist this time will be the goddess of retribution Nemesis, who seeks to break the Threads of Fate and throw the whole world into chaos.
When We Can Expect It
An early version of Titan Quest 2 will only be available on PC in winter 2024-25, while PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series console users will have to wait for the full release, the timeline for which is vaguely labelled "in 2025".
