Ukrainian engineers have created a unique amphibious drone to evacuate fighters from the battlefield and deliver supplies
Ukrainian engineers have created a unique amphibious drone "Voz", the main task of which is to help fighters on the battlefield.
Here's What We Know
A team of inventors from Volyn has developed a ground robotic amphibious complex "Voz", which has successfully passed tests.
"Voz" was created for evacuation of the wounded, delivery of cargo, overcoming water obstacles, as well as a carrier of fire and electronic warfare systems.
In fact, it is a platform mounted on powerful chassis and equipped with two engines - one of which is automatically switched on when the drone is submerged in water.
It can be controlled either remotely or by a mechanism on board.
We can implement (control) via FPV, by navigation - whatever you like. It will move independently and help a person. In order for it to be as autonomous and useful as possible, various technologies have been applied.
It is noteworthy that the creators of "Voz" taught it to recognise obstacles and overcome them without the help of an operator. In addition, it will be able to autonomously follow the soldier.
The amphibious drone can overcome 20 kilometres on a single battery charge at a speed of up to 20 km/h. And one of its main advantages will be its payload capacity - up to 200kg.
The Voz will be most useful on those parts of the front where there are no land crossings left. Such developments can be useful in the hottest spots.
Amphibious drone "Voz" has passed the military examination, it was found necessary for the Defence Forces, but serial production of the device has not yet begun.
