Tomorrow, on the 9th of January, there will be an important event for fans of MOBA game League of Legends: it will switch to a seasonal development model. In honour of this Riot Games studio released a spectacular cinematic trailer.

Here's What We Know

The trailer, titled Welcome to Noxus, was created by Fortiche Productions, the creator of the hit animated series Arcane, which attracted tens of millions of viewers and won the love of even those who have never played League of Legends or watched anime before.

The events of the cinematic trailer unfold after the finale of the second season of Arcane - you can tell by the appearance of the heroine Mel.

The video attracted a huge amount of attention and gained almost 35 million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours. The video is of such high quality that many viewers assume that it is a hidden teaser of one of the next three animated series in the League of Legends universe.

As for the new League of Legends development system, Riot Games will be releasing three seasons per year, each of which is linked by a single plot and dedicated to different corners of the Runeterra universe. The seasons will be split into two acts, and battle passes are now eight weeks rather than four, giving gamers more time to get all the content they want.
