Experienced game designers who have worked on Age of Empires, Borderlands and BioShock series have founded Stray Kite studio and announced their debut game.

Here's What We Know

The project is called Wartorn and will be a tactical game with roguelike elements and a bright visual style. In the centre of the story will be sisters Yara and Elani, who will go on a dangerous journey through the islands of Talaur. Their main goal is to visit the ancient castle of their ancestors, but to get to it will not be easy because of the raging war and a huge number of dangers.

The girls travel as part of a squad and on their way they can join different creatures, including elves, dwarves and demons. There will be many battles in Wartorn, in which the chosen troops and their placement on the battlefield play an important role.

The developers have envisaged a complex system of interaction between different elements and substances that also affect the outcome of the battle, for example, players will be able to use fire, water, resin, plants and lightning, taking into account that water will extinguish fire and resin will strengthen flames.

Wartorn is a story-driven single-player game with no multiplayer elements.

When We Can Expect It

No release date has been given for Wartorn, but it is stated that it will be released on Steam Early Access first.
